Hallazgo increíble de Tortuga con «pico de águila y cola de cocodrilo» en China.

De belleza extraña, su peculiar característica es que su cabeza también está cubierta por un caparazón, lo que le impide retraerla e introducirla a su cuerpo, tal como es común en otras especies de tortugas.
Su cabeza grande mantiene similitudes con otros anfibios como los cocodrilos, y parece tener una mezcla de las águilas, por la forma del pico conque concluye su rostro. Su cola es escamosa y asemeja la cola de un caimán.
Estas tortugas viven en zonas montañosas con ríos y arroyos, del sudeste asiático y en la parte alta de China. Se alimenta de animales acuáticos.
Es una especie declarada en peligro de extinción desde el año 2000, de acuerdo a la Lista Roja de la UICN.
El ejemplar fue puesto a resguardo por la Policía Forestal en una estación de rescate de vida silvestre, con la idea de verificar sus condiciones y regresarla a su estado natural.
