Legisladores noruegos cumplen promesa otorgada en la Cumbre de Lima, realizada por la ONU en 2014 y logran que su país, Noruega, sea el primero en prohibir la deforestación del territorio.
Un radical cambio en sus sistemas agroalimentarios para poder obtener materia prima que impacta ecosistemas como el aceite de palma, soja, carne de res y madera. Estos sistemas han impactado al planeta.
Además, ha conseguido retirar del mercado todos los productos provenientes de la tala de bosques, con ello ha conseguido una economía más ecológica, impulsando iniciativas industriales sostenibles.
Noruega contribuye con otros países para frenar la deforestación.
Tan solo en el año 2008, Noruega donó mil millones de dólares a Brasil para combatir la deforestación. Y entre 2011 y 2015 otorgó más de 250 millones de dólares a organismos civiles conservacionistas para proteger el bosque de Guyana en América del Sur. Liberia, en el continente africano, también se ha visto favorecido con las contribuciones de Noruega, quien ha logrado donar hasta 150 millones de dólares con el objetivo de frenar la tala de árboles en esa nación.
Esta es una victoria crucial en la lucha para proteger la selva tropical, destaca Nils Hermann Ranum, Presidente de la Rainforest Foundation de Noruega en un comunicado emitido por Climate Action.
Los ecosistemas, son una parte fundamental para los seres humano, deberíamos tomar conciencias , y aprender de las acciones de Noruega, talar un árbol, pareciera que no afecta a lo que le hacemos al planeta, pero la realidad es otra.
