No importa cuántas veces veas el cielo, siempre será sorprendente que puedas observar fácilmente las estrellas, lunas y planetas distantes que orbitan en nuestro mismo sistema solar.
Este martes 14 de julio, por la mañana, el planeta Júpiter aparecerá frente al Sol visto desde la oposición de la Tierra. Júpiter estará en su punto más cercano y brillante para esta aparición, efectivamente un «Júpiter completo», que se levanta alrededor del atardecer y se pone alrededor del amanecer.
Para el 16 de julio, a partir de la mañana, el planeta Mercurio estará por encima del horizonte cuando comience el crepúsculo matutino. Esto hará que cinco astros sean visibles a simple vista: Mercurio, en el horizonte este-noreste, y Júpiter y Saturno, en el horizonte suroeste.
Y para el 17 de julio, por la mañana, el más brillante de los planetas, Venus, aparecerá cerca de la menguante Luna creciente y la brillante estrella Aldebarán.
La NASA ha invitado a observar este espectáculo, que será posible con tan solo unos binoculares, y para aquellos que cuentan con un telescopio, les será de mucha más facilidad ubicar los astros.
Recuerda: dependen de donde nos leas, deberás considerar las horas de diferencia y posición de los astros. ¡El cielo es tan basto que podrás ubicarlos por su intenso brillo!
