La noche de este viernes Newport Beach, California fue testigo del alto oleaje en el mar, las inundaciones fueron evidentes en esa zona, pobladores observaron como el mar se empezaba a desbordar poco a poco, lo que trajo pánico en las personas que desconocían el por qué de tal fenómeno.

En el barrio de Balboa, el desborde del mar era tan alto que alcanzaba a llegar hasta las rodillas las personas y cubría los neumáticos de algunos automóviles. Quedaron parcialmente bajo el agua.

Los lugares mas vulnerables son; Seal Beach, Sunset Beach y Newport Beach.
