Estudiante de arqueología en Noruega descubre tesoro vikingo.
El sueño de cualquier arqueólogo es involucrarse en un descubrimiento inesperado y para lograr la hazaña como estudiante, es bastante raro.
Pero esto es exactamente lo que le sucedió al estudiante de maestría noruego de nombre Tor-Kjetil Krokmyrdal, de la Universidad Ártica de Noruega, UIT por sus siglas.
En su tesis de maestría en la materia de arqueología, reveló que existía un lugar en donde se realizaba el intercambio comercial de la región y que era desconocido dentro de la Era Vikinga.
Este se ubicaba en lo que hay es la granja Sandtorg en Tjelsund, entre las ciudades de Harstad y Narvik, en el norte de Noruega.
El Hallazgo del Tesoro Vikingo.
Con la ayuda de un aparato detector de metales, el estudiante noruego encontró un tesoro vikingo: joyas, monedas y piezas de plata utilizadas para el pago, junto con muchos otros objetos importados de las Islas Británicas, Finlandia y otros lugares.
Monedas y joyas de origen árabe y asiático se encontraban entre el hallazgo. Lo que significa que otras culturas acudían al lugar a comercializar productos de intercambio.
