Gran descubrimiento en el Polo Sur impacta a la comunidad científica
El Polo Sur se está calentando tres veces más rápido que el resto del mundo, esto ha ocurrido durante las últimas décadas, así lo muestran estudios recientes, realizados por un grupo de expertos internacionales.
Actualmente el polo sur, uno de los lugares más fríos del mundo, se ha ido calentando 3 veces más que en cualquier parte del mundo, según un estudio, que lleva por nombre «Record warming at the South Pole during the past three decades»
por mucho tiempo se creyó que este sería el único lugar del planeta en donde se creía que la temperatura no había subido, paradójicamente la temperatura de dicho lugar a aumentado notablemente.
Esta investigación fue realizada, analizando un conjunto de experimentos de modelos climáticos para poder demostrar que el calentamiento reciente se encuentra dentro de lo límites superiores del rango de variabilidad natural.
Los modelos analizados sirvieron para poder determinar que el polo sur se había calentado alrededor de 1,8°C a una tasa de +0,6 grados por década entre 1989 y 2018, siendo este tres veces el promedio mundial, esto según científicos de la Universidad de Wellington en Nueva Zelanda.
