Increíble y maravilloso avistamiento de Leopardo negro.

El leopardo negro, también conocido como Panthera pardus, es un mamífero carnívoro de la familia de los félidos. Al igual que tres de los demás félidos del género Panthera, el león, el tigre y el jaguar, están caracterizados por una modificación en el hueso hioides que les permite rugir. También se lo conoce como pantera parda y, cuando presenta un pelaje completamente oscuro, como pantera negra (melánico).

Pues una turista que visitaba el parque safari en la Reserva Tadoba, en India; fue la afortunada de este increíble y maravilloso encuentro.

Male Melanistic leopard/ black panther. . . «The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist». . . . Tired from handling the camera all day for all the safaris, here I was on my last one and in the last hours. All drained from the shuttering of the cameras, capturing the stripped killer in the scorching heat. Moving on to the spot for something I was sure we won’t see. With the sun being gone hours beyond our heads, the wait was on, hoping for atleast a quick glance. Eyes running through every movement in the woods and ears all fixed on the barks of the deers. Couple of hours passed and I am still hoping for a miracle before the dream run ends. And suddenly it all went quiet with all the deer heads focusing in the woods like they were guides. And there he was, an unnoticeable black figure moving uninterested in his prey. I rooted for the camera and positioned quickly on that spot, my mind and body all fired up forgetting . The melanistic leopard was there, just strolling unaware of his beauty. I zoomed at him and saw the bright eyes staring back with fading rossetes into blackness on his body. Abhishek Pangis, de 23 años que paseaba junto a sus padres, logró fotografiar a un leopardo negro. Las imágenes que captó, rápidamente se volvieron virales ya que se trata de un animal muy esquivo y no suele dejarse ver ante la gente.

Cuando se le presentó la oportunidad a la joven, logró enfocar al ejemplar y captar estas impresionantes imágenes. Lo vi tomar agua de un estanque, marcar su territorio y acechar monos, revive la escena emocionada.

Fue en junio, en el pico del verano, cuando las temperaturas llegan a un extremo de entre 40 y 45 grados y los grandes felinos salen en busca de agua. En un momento incluso el animal, que tendría unos cuatro años, pasó por al lado de nuestro Jeep. Fue algo surrealista, explicó.

En un primer momento había entre 10 a 15 jeeps, pero uno a uno se fueron yendo. Cuando quedaban solo tres jeeps fue que vimos al leopardo negro. Ninguna de las otras personas tenía una cámara y por eso fui la única que logró fotografiarlo, concluyó.

De acuerdo a la Lista Roja de Especies Amenazadas de la UICN, el leopardo negro o pantera se encuentra a un paso de ser considerado especie en peligro de extinción. Son pocos los ejemplares que habitan las selvas de Indonesia.

No cabe duda, ¡fue un maravilloso e increíble encuentro!
