Hace escasos días, se daba a conocer que los ejidos que administran esta belleza natural, volvieron a abrir a alas actividades turísticas con motivo a reactivar su economía frente a la pandemia.
Ahora la afectación la provocan las intensas lluvias que se han registrado en Chiapas en las últimas horas.
Ubicadas al oriente del territorio estatal, las aguas del río del que se alimentan se han visto incrementadas, y con ello se provocó el desbordamiento.
Usuarios de redes sociales, han compartido algunas imágenes del lugar, en donde se aprecia el río que pasa por las cascadas completamente desbordado, lo que ha ocasionado algunas inundaciones en puntos bajos de la región.
Las afectaciones ya llegan a las viviendas ubicadas en las zonas aledañas, así como en locales de venta de artesanías y otros productos, localizados en la zona turística.
Por el momento se desconoce si hay vidas en riesgo. Las autoridades de Protección Civil han pedido a las personas extremar precauciones ya que las lluvias continuarán y existe la posibilidad de intensificarse con el ingreso de la tormenta tropical Gamma por la Península de Yucatán.
