Catorce personas perdieron la vida en Turquía y Grecia luego de que un fuerte terremoto sacudió el mar Egeo este viernes, y derrumbó edificios y provocó maremotos que azotaron áreas costeras e islas.
Un total de 14 fallecidos se han contabilizado hasta el momento, como resultado del terremoto en el mar Egeo, ocurrido este viernes, que ha derrumbado edificios y provocado maremotos en zonas costeras.
Hasta el momento se han reportado 419 heridos y decenas de personas atrapadas en edificios colapsados.
La gente corrió a las calles en pánico en la ciudad turca de Izmir, dijeron testigos, después de que el terremoto golpeara con una magnitud de hasta 7.0.
Los vecindarios se inundaron con el agua de mar que arrastró los escombros tierra adentro y dejó a los peces varados mientras retrocedía.
Las operaciones de búsqueda y rescate continuaron en 17 edificios colapsados o dañados, dijo el gobernador de Izmir. Unas 70 personas más han sido rescatadas de debajo de los escombros.
