La tormenta de polvo estuvo acompañada de fuertes ráfagas de viento de más de 100 kilómetros por hora, que trajo consigo la caída de granizo.

Las ciudades más afectadas en Argentina fueron Córdoba y Cuyo, por donde la tormenta de polvo se extendió.
El satélite GOES-East Geocolor, registró el acontecimiento con imágenes impresionantes donde se observa una gran área de polvo que sopla en Argentina a raíz de la actividad generalizada de tormentas eléctricas.

La tormenta de polvo pasó sobre la Colonia Barón sin causar ningún daño. Pero en Santa Rosa, los medios locales informaron sobre un huracán que voló techos y arrancó árboles.
