El objeto rastreado por la NASA podría golpear el planeta con la fuerza de 230 kilotones o 230,000 toneladas de TNT.
En comparación, la bomba atómica lanzada sobre Hiroshima en 1945 llevaba una carga de aproximadamente 15 kilotones de TNT.
Si un asteroide de este tamaño golpeara el planeta, probablemente sería lo suficientemente mortal como para arrasar una gran ciudad de la faz de la Tierra.
