México: alerta en 9 entidades por virus hemorrágico de conejos.
Nueve estados de México están incluidos en la alerta por virus hemorrágico de conejos, de acuerdo con la SADER.
Se emitió una alerta por la Secretaría de Agricultura y Desarrollo Rural (Sader), en nueve entidades de México ante la enfermedad hemorrágica de los conejos tipo 2 (EHVC2).
Por decreto, se ejecutó la integración del Dispositivo Nacional de Emergencia Sanitaria Animal (Dinesa) para controlar y erradicar este virus.
Las entidades incluidas en el alertamiento son:
Aguascalientes, Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, San Luis Potosí y Zacatecas.
Todas las áreas estarán declaradas en cuarentena por el virus hemorrágico en conejos, hasta que se controle dicha enfermedad.
Con la cuarentena queda prohibida la comercialización, movilización y consumo humano de conejos en pie y sus canales, pieles, vísceras, despojos y todos aquellos materiales empleados en la actividad cunícola.
De no cumplir con este decreto, se aplicará el artículo 134 del Reglamento de la Ley Federal de Sanidad Animal que señala que “cualquier incumplimiento será sancionado”.
La enfermedad hemorrágica vírica tipo 2 es causada por un virus prácticamente nuevo que ataca a todo tipo de conejos y liebres.
Se caracteriza por causar una neumonía y hepatitis hemorrágica.
La enfermedad es severa y puede afectar también a otros órganos como riñón y corazón, provocando la muerte súbita.
Los expertos indican que se puede contagiar de animal a animal, pero también a través de objetos contaminados, especialmente por la suela de los zapatos.
El virus no tiene efectos negativos en el ser humano ni en otro tipo de mascotas, pero puede dejar grandes pérdidas en la industria cunícola.
La Sader, a través de la Senasica, ya coordina acciones inmediatas de control en los lugares donde se reportó el virus y aplica estrictas medidas de sanidad.
