En aquél entonces, el usuario de Twitter @ alecyewest compartió el video que había grabado el 25 de diciembre cuando visitó a su padrastro para entregarle un regalo de Navidad muy especial.
El usuario manifiesta que:
Mi padrastro me crio como si fuera su hijo desde que tenía tres años. Esta Navidad sorprendí a mi familia y les pedí que me adoptaran. Feliz Navidad.
Esto lo escribió el joven orgulloso de querer pertenecer oficialmente a esta familia, junto al inserto del video.
En él se aprecia a su padrastro con un gesto de expectativa al abrir el regalo y de momento se percibe un cambio de reacción emotivo en su rostro.
Esto al descubrir que los papeles de adopción de su hijastro estaban en la bolsa de regalo.
Y es que padre, no solo es el que engendra, sino también el que cría. Y este joven tuvo la fortuna de contar con un padrastro muy padre.
En su muro, no describe ningún otro antecedente como para poder entender la decisión, pero es obvio que su única figura paterna ha sido y seguirá siendo el padrastro que se convirtió en su padre.
El reconocimiento legal en EE.UU., es un proceso lento y en donde participan autoridades de jurisdicción civil.
Seguramente el sueño se hizo realidad y lo que se convirtió en una emotiva cena navideña, terminó siendo la cristalización de una paternidad sólida.
