Las autoridades federales dijeron que el brote de gripe aviar fue detectado en una bandada de pájaros no comerciales en el condado de Kalamazoo, en Michigan.
Las muestras de la parvada fueron analizadas en el Laboratorio de Diagnóstico Veterinario de la Universidad Estatal de Michigan.
Y luego confirmadas por los laboratorios del Servicio de Inspección de Sanidad Animal y Vegetal del USDA en Ames, Iowa.
