Temor en Ecuador: Pez Remo es hallado por pescadores en las costas.
La Leyenda del Pez Remo genera temor entre los habitantes de Ecuador, luego del hallazgo de un ejemplar de esta especie en sus costas.
La mañana del pasado lunes 14 de febrero del 2022, pescadores de Manta, que atracan sus embarcaciones en el nuevo muelle pesquero artesanal de Autoridad Portuaria, reportaron el hallazgo de un pez remo, generando temor en la población.
Este acontecimiento llamó enormemente la atención de los pobladores, turistas y los pescadores, quienes se mostraron sorprendidos por la aparición de la especie de pez, pues señalaron conocer que este aparece previo a algún evento natural, como sismos.
El pez remo.
De acuerdo con la cultura asiática y por algunas apariciones en costas de países de Latinoamérica, se cree que el pez remo, anuncia eventos sísmicos de gran magnitud.
El pez remo habita en varias partes del mundo, vive a profundidades mayores a los 1,000 metros. Y aunque se sabe muy poco de esta especie, en la creencia popular se dice que cuando estos peces emergen a la superficie de las playas es señal de que va ocurrir un terremoto o tsunami.
Algunos de los datos compartidos por los expertos dicen que este pez puede llegar a medir 11 metros de longitud y también hay registros de ejemplares que han llegado a medir 17 metros.
Los ejemplares maduros de la especie pueden llegar a pesar unos 200 kilos y medir hasta 7 u 8 metros de largo.
Su morfología es similar a la de una cinta delgada con pequeñas aletas a los costados. Carece de escamas, y su piel es viscosa y plateada.
Pero su apariencia puede resultar estremecedora y causar temor con sus avitamientos.
Cuando emergen a la superficie, Nat Geo señala, que podría deberse a que están agonizando, y estarían enfermos o a punto de morir, quizá por falta de alimentos en su hábitat o por cambios en el Ph del océano.
El hallazgo.
Fue un medio local el encargado de difundir el hallazgo: InforManta, desde donde se compartió un video en su plataforma de Facebook.
Según cuenta el medio, el hecho ocurrió el 14 de febrero de 2022, cuando un pescador habría logrado atrapar a uno de estos ejemplares en Manta, provincia de Manabí.
En el video se observa cómo unos pescadores, usando una cuerda, tratan de liberar al gigante pez que está atascado en unas rocas.
Hasta el momento, se desconoce el origen y la autenticidad de la información.
Las autoridades locales y nacionales no han salido a dar cuenta de este hallazgo, y mucho menos ninguna autoridad ha verificado o reportado el hecho.
Aun así, el supuesto hallazgo provocó alarma y temor entre los habitantes del lugar y del país, toda vez que Ecuador se ubica en el Cinturón o Anillo de Fuego y en donde constantemente acontecen sismos de gran magnitud.
